In 2012, the roof of a warehouse and production facility at the Sime Darby Kempas site in Malaysia was coated with ClimateCoating® ThermoActive. The goal of this measure was to significantly reduce roof heating under hot climatic conditions while also preventing corrosion and leaks.
The result
Before the coating was applied in 2012, the roof surface temperature was measured at 65 °C. After the application of ThermoActive in 2012, the measured temperature was only 38.5 °C. This resulted in a reduction of 26.5 °C in the measured roof surface temperature.
