Reflective membrane technology – the heart of ThermoProtect
ThermoProtect is not a classic façade insulation, but an innovative functional coating and long-lasting façade protection. Its unique reflective membrane technology combines extremely adhesive, specially developed polyacrylate dispersion with hollow glass ceramic particles and activators. Once the coating has been applied, it forms a breathing, reflective membrane that regulates moisture, protects the masonry and reduces energy consumption at the same time. This keeps the façade dry, resistant and low-maintenance in the long term, while optimizing the natural insulating effect.
Moisture regulation & healthy indoor climate
When it rains, the reflective membrane acts as a protective barrier against precipitation and condensation. It prevents moisture from penetrating the masonry by forming a barrier layer. At the same time, the masonry is dehumidified in a regulated manner. Thanks to its special capillary structure, ThermoProtect technology only allows moisture to be transported in one direction – from the inside to the outside. This allows moisture to escape to the outside, but not to penetrate the masonry. Dry walls insulate better than damp ones, store heat for longer and increase energy efficiency. In addition, the dehumidifying effect removes the breeding ground for mold, algae and moss, thus preventing their growth on the exterior facade.

Summer heat protection & evaporative cooling
ThermoProtect reflects the sun’s rays on the outer wall in summer, effectively protecting against overheating. This keeps the interior pleasantly cool even on hot days – without the need for air conditioning. The combination of reflection and targeted evaporation ensures effective thermal insulation in summer and a healthy indoor climate that makes a noticeable contribution to well-being. At the same time, energy consumption and costs are significantly reduced.
At the same time, the façade remains dry, which prevents algae growth – particularly important for insulated façades (see Perleberg project). When used in hot climates, heat transfer from the outside to the inside is also reduced.

Winter thermal insulation & energy efficiency
Dry masonry stores solar gains more efficiently, reduces heat loss and optimizes the natural insulating effect. Effective winter thermal insulation keeps interiors noticeably warmer, reduces heating requirements and creates a comfortable indoor climate that increases your well-being. This saves you heating costs, electricity and energy and at the same time contributes to climate protection. An example from Sweden with 12% energy savings.
